B.34 Gembro Trail
An easy mountain itinerary, along the edge of the Pian di Gembro nature reserve. Start from the Pian di Gembro picnic area and take the dirt road that runs adjacent to the peat bog, until you come to a paved road. Continue towards Piscé. After a hundred metres or so you'll spot the church of S. Fortunato on your right: a photo with the breath-taking view of Valtellina is an absolute must!
Continue until Piscé where at the noticeboard you take the dirt road on the left. Continue along the path and when you reach Valcheola, go on the dirt road back to the starting point. Despite its low level of difficulty, the surface along this stretch is full of roots and stones, which can be insidious for less experienced cyclists. In Valcheola, beginners can end the tour on a stretch of dirt road, returning along the same part of the outbound itinerary.
