Without a doubt the most beautiful and safest way of reaching Aprica is from San Giacomo di Teglio, along a route that is suitable for anyone looking to enjoy a spot of safe cycling. Indeed this mountain road is quiet, with barely any vehicle traffic. A long climb, over 18 kilometres long, leads through a wood, with most of the journey in the shade. There are some clearings along the way, with green meadows, a few lodges, but no catering points.
