The Tumel ski mountaineering Route

The path begins just above the departure point of the Magnolta gondola, with the run on the left. It leads past a derelict barn and ascends all the way up to "Foppe", upwards along the fields, with the ski slope to the left, then up to the path which leads to Malga Magnolta in the summer.

The path now winds upwards into the forest, past "Corna", with generous panoramas of Mid-Valtellina. After a few turns, the path leads eastwards; at the signpost go right and ascend into the fir forest.

This part of the route takes you through small clearings and woods that gradually fade away as you approach the large clearing of Malga Magnolta, with an incredible view of Val Belviso and Belviso Lake.
The descent is along groomed slopes that lead back to town.

Always check the weather forecast before going on an excursion
